Harpo Primary is paid a visit by Emergency Services
A highly informative demonstration was carried out by the crews from KwaZulu Private Ambulance Services as well as JVS Towing and Recovery.
EMERGENCY services and the SAPS paid a visit to Harpo Primary School in Lakeside during the month of February.
The motivation for their visit was not to attend to a critical emergency, but to educate the pupils of both Harpo Primary School and Stepping Stones on the extremely important role of emergency services in society when it comes to life and death situations, such as motor vehicle accidents, and to drive home the crucial aspects of road safety.

A highly informative demonstration was carried out by the crews from KwaZulu Private Ambulance Services as well as JVS Towing and Recovery, to explain what happens in an emergency and to elaborate on the role of emergency services in attending to these scenes. One of the teachers at Harpo Primary, Ms Mthethwa, took part in the demonstration, playing the role of the patient.
Captain Cheryl Venter from the Vryheid SAPS followed with a talk about safety and bullying in schools.
