Sewer deluge gets up residents’ noses
Officials had their work cut out in a bid to curb the leaks

Heavy rains over the past few weeks may have added to the deluge of sewer leak complaints that have sprung up in recent days. Umzinyathi District Municipality officials have had their work cut attending to the leaks.
One of the most serious leaks was on the corner of Oldacre and Colley Streets on Saturday morning where Sheila Jeebodh and her neighbours woke up to find their properties under a pool of effluent. Umzinyathi said the problem would be attended to.
