An epic 11 000 km journey from Dundee to Dundee starts today

'We just love adventure - it is a dream of a life time'

A year after their original overland journey from Dundee, South Africa, to Dundee, Scotland, was scuttled by red tape at the Congo/Angola border, adventurous couple, Kevin and Donna Krummeck, this afternoon set off again on their epic journey.

Dundee 2 Dundee journey changes route because of red tape …

The Krummecks, who live in Margate (Kevin was born in our Dundee in 1963) and Donna in Dundee, Scotland in 1965, set off from outside the Courier offices on Beaconsfield Street to Kosi Bay before they will make their way up the East Coast of Africa and across to Europe and finally Scotland.

Their trusty 2006 red Land Rover is packed with food, a shower and a lot of water and fuel for the journey. “We will keep Courier readers up to date so be sure to follow us online via the Courier website and in print.”

Dundee to Dundee journey starts earlier than expected
