A thrilling sporting week as NRS takes on 3 strenuous tournaments

NRS colours, green, blue and red, dominated the sports fields in Utrecht, Pongola and Durban last week.

Utrecht, Pongola and Durban saw green, blue and red as NRS embarked on three tournaments last week. The second rugby team , first boys and girls hockey teams took on the Utrecht Nashua Tournament. The second rugby team won the Nashua Rugby Tournament – Pool B.

The girls hockey team took second place. Sibonga Mtshali won Goalkeeper of the Match twice at the tournament. We are so proud of you all.

The first team rugby boys took part in the Glenwood and Port Natal Rugby Festival. The boys played amazing rugby, and only lost 1 game during this nail-biting tournament. The resilience, finesse and self-discipline shown by the boys was commendable. Well done boys!

The u/11 and u/13 Netball Teams went to Pongola for the netball tournament. The u/13 team consisting of six Zululand players, played beautiful, clean netball and winning every match while at it. Keara Robson won Best Goalkeeper of the Tournament and Amahle Dladla won Best Centre of the Tournament.

The U/ 11’s Sindisiwe Ndwandwe won Best Goalkeeper and Asimbonge Mpanza  was named Best Goal-scorer of the Tournament. We are extremely proud of you girls.
