The School Governing Body (SGB), management team and staff are pleased to announce that Michele Du Plessis has been appointed as Principal of Biggarsberg Primary.
Mrs Du Plessis joined Biggarsberg Primary in 1993 and has served as Deputy Principal since 2004.
“We congratulate Michele on her new appointment and thank her for the significant contribution she has made and will continue to make at Biggarsberg Primary,” a statement from the school read.
It was a bittersweet week for the school as they also bid a sad farewell to Marilie Bruyns, the HOD of the Foundation Phase. Mrs Bruyns was appointed as the new Principal of Uelzen Primary School.
“She has played a special role in our school and we will most definitely miss her energy, her leadership and more importantly, her friendship. We know that with her at the helm at Uelzen, we will build a very good relationship between our two schools.”
The school also announced their Top Ten for Term one as well as appointed their new monitors and media monitors.
