DHS lauds top performers

On a cold Saturday morning, April 13, many DHS teams travelled to Ladysmith for a day of sport.

Dundee High School would like to congratulate the following learners for performing extremely well this term:
Grade 12: Ayaz Bula was first in the grade with an average of 91.6%, followed by Monique Arends, Sisanda Thango, Nadia Raffenberg, Sheri-Lee Harms, Samkelisiwe Marhwa, Andrea Oosthuizen, Loritha Maharaj, Tasheel Sevparsad and Muhammed Hameed.
Grade 11: Stefan Thom was first in grade 11 with an average of 87.1%, followed by Arish Balgobind, Ayo Cindi, Zethembe Nxumalo, Nothile Nkonyeni, Shoaib Malek, Asanda Masala, Neo Motaung, Nkoiyapha Dladla and Bernadette Pretorius.
Grade 10: Chirag Singh with an average of 90.4%, followed by Eric Lauwrens, Amahle Nkosi, Ntsako Gomba, Zakiyah Khan, Sphesihle Maphalala, Hamzah Amod, Miguelle Benadie, Johane Farrell, Arista Jagath.
Grade 9: Yusrah Kader with an average of 93,9%, Lethu Gule, Sinethemba Hlongwane, Ayabonga Shabangu, Karishma Kailas, Karli Potgieter, Takudzwa Mpofu, Sinothando Duma, Shreeya Sundar and Azande Botha.
Grade 8: Zandisiwe Maphalala with an average of 87.7%, Yusuf Khan, Nozibusiso Nthangase, Muhammad Bobat, Aphiwe Molefe, Zikhona Kubeka, Nicole Mitchell, Muhammad Khader, Nomaswazi Nkosi and Phoebe Kalman.
DHS beats Ladysmith
On a cold Saturday morning, April 13, many DHS teams travelled to Ladysmith for a day of sport. The scores were as follows:
Rugby: u/15 lost 14 – 7; u/16 won 26 – 5; Second team won 26 – 0; 1st team won 24 – 10.
Boys Hockey: The second team was 1 – 0 behind after the first half and it looked as though they were going to lose the match, but they showed a lot of character and in the end beat Ladysmith 3 – 1.
The first team also had an interesting game, making a many mistakes in the first half, however, they managed to win the game with a score of 3 – 0.
Girls Hockey: u/14 drew 0 – 0; u/16 won 6 – 0; 2nd team lost 2 – 0; 1st team won 4 – 0.
Netball: U/14A lost 9 – 17; U/14B lost 1 – 17; U/15 A lost 7 – 18; U/15B won 11 – 4; U/16A lost 9 – 39; U/16B won 8 – 6; 2nd won 17 – 7; 1st won 25 – 17.
