ANC wins by-election in Okhahlamba Municipality

The ANC candidate, Manqoba Herbert Hlatshwayo, won the ward

The African National Congress (ANC) won the by-elections that took place in Okhahlamba Municipality on Wednesday, April 10.

Ward 4 in Okhahlamba Municipality was contested by Manqoba Herbert Hlatshwayo from the ANC, Mkhuzeni Johannes Hlongwane from the IFP, Fanuel Mbethu from the NFP, Sakhile Sizwe Dlalisa from the EFF, Siyabonga Ndimande from COPE, and Nkosinathi Richard Mhlanga from ATM.

Cllr Hlatshwayo from the ANC secured the most votes to win the ward.

The ANC also re-claimed Ward 21 of Abaqulusi Municipality.
