Municipality holds successful clean-up operation in St Chad’s

Community members happily joined in to keep their area clean

A clean-up campaign took place in the Ward 7 area of St Chad’s recently.

The purpose of the campaign was to target areas where illegal dumping has been taking place on a large scale.

Stakeholders that took part were Alfred Duma Local Municipality; the Department of Agriculture, Forestry & Fisheries; Community Works Programme participants; and Ward Councillor Madinane.

Alfred Duma Local Municipality encourages community members to refrain from illegal dumping, which is a criminal offence that can lead to a fine and prosecution.
