DJS swings into winter sport mode

The netball and soccer teams participated in the Endumeni Winter Challenge, where the DJS soccer team took second position.

On Wednesday, April 17, Dundee Junior School had their first fixture and played rugby, hockey and netball at Lucas Meyer Primary School in Vryheid.

Netbal: o/10 verloor 2-10 en o/11 gelykop met 8 elk.
Hokkie: o/10 verloor 0-4, o/11 verloor 0-4 (teen hul 2de span) en die 1ste span verloor 0-3.
Rugby: o/9 verloor 10-12, o/10 wen 15-5, o/11 verloor 15-19 en die 1ste span wen 42-5.
On the same day the hockey boys participated in Uelzen’s Hockey Tournament at the Oval, where the first team won one match, lost one match and drew one match. The second team won one match, lost one match and drew two matches.
The netball and soccer teams participated in the Endumeni Winter Challenge, where the DJS soccer team took second position, winning themselves silver medals and R1000 for the school. The netball team finished the tournament undefeated, beating GPS in the final and secured the trophy, gold medals, as well as R2000 for the school. Siphiwokuhle Sithole, who played in the centre position for DJS, won the trophy for the best player of the tournament.
