Ekuvukeni intervention plan implemented to help with water leaks

The project is currently in the planning stage and will be implemented after the completion of the new pipeline

According to uThukela, a project to replace an old asbestos pipeline with a new PVC-O pipeline from the water treatment works (WTW) to Zandbuilt Reservoir is in progress. The project also involves the refurbishment of a booster pump station.

The old pipeline will be in operation during the construction of the new pipeline. The new pipeline will be commissioned once the WTW upgrade is completed.

Repairs of water leaks and the installation of Bulk Zone meters is also continuing.
