Colourful capers at Dundee Junior School
Dundee Junior School looks forward to another month full of excitement!
Gedurende April, het Dundee Junior Skool ‘n paar geleenthede gehad, wat beslis gesorg het vir baie opgewondenheid en hope pret:
ATKV Redenaars
DJS se sprekers het by Huttenpark Primêre Skool aan die eerste ronde van die ATKV Redenaarskompetisie deelgeneem. Die skool is baie trots op Zemichké Snyman en Mia van der Merwe, wat deurgedring het en op Mei 18 aan die semi-finaal gaan deelneem.
Colour festival
In April, Dundee Junior School enjoyed a memorable colour festival. The fundraising event was enjoyed by learners and teachers alike, which resulted in a successful event.
Netball trials
The following learners were selected to represent Umzinyathi at the KZN Netball trials at Chatsworth on April 25:
Under-13: Nontokozo Ntuli, Sesese Zungu, Phiwokuhle Ngobese, Andiswa Lukele and Siphiwokuhle Sithole.
U-12: Kuhlekonke Buthelezi, Thandolwethu Buthelezi and Zenande Ncube.
Siphiwokuhle Sithole was selected for the KZN Netball Team and DJS is very proud of her. She will participate in the Inter-Provincial Tournament, taking place in June.
Beroepsdag
Op April 25, het Dundee Juniorskoolleerders volgens hul beroepskeuse aangetrek. Daar was dokters, rugbyspelers, verpleegsters en selfs ‘n hele paar polisiemanne. Leerders het ook die geleentheid gebruik om vir hulle onderwysers meer te vertel oor hulle drome en wat hulle eendag graag sal wil wees, en watse beroep hulle sal wil beoefen.
Rugby trials
DJS is extremely proud of Njabulo Mkwanazi and Michael Molefe, who are included in the NKZN u-13 rugby squad.
