Victoria Street closed at traffic circle for urgent road repairs

Traffic is being diverted up Karellandman Street, as a result of the roadworks.

Motorists driving home this afternoon are urged to proceed with caution, when approaching the Victoria Street traffic circle.

Work has finally begun to carry out repairs to the rutted section of road, over the railway bridge to Ethangeni School.

The road is closed and traffic is being diverted up Karellandman Street.

That section of Victoria Street has become badly damaged in recent years and motorists have often expressed fear of the corrugations not only damaging their vehicle, but also causing a road hazard.

Work will continue for the next day or so.
