Police launch manhunt for rapist gang

SAPS is appealing for anyone with information, which may lead to arrests, to contact their nearest police station urgently.

The SAPS is on the hunt for a gang of men, who raped a woman in Craigside recently.

Dundee SAPS spokesman, Captain V. Mbense stated the 27-year-old victim was on her way home in the early hours of May 2, with a friend, when they realised four men were following them.

The women were then attacked by the gang.

Capt Mbense said the victim’s friend bravely tried to fight off the group of attackers, but was pushed to the ground.

The men then dragged the 27-year-old into a darkened house.

After repeatedly raping the victim, the four men fled the scene, while she managed to alert nearby residents, who came to her aid.

The SAPS appeals for anyone with information on the case to contact their nearest police station.
