May 3 will forever be etched in the hearts of Amahlubi Secondary School and Weenen Primary School learners.

Deputy Minister of Transport Ms Sindisiwe Lydia Chikunga visited Amahlubi Secondary School in Ephangweni along Loskop Road on the day.
Various items were distributed to help improve learning at both schools. Amahlubi Secondary received tablets, laptops and chairs to complete the Science and Computer labs.
It was also the official opening of the Information and Communication Technology Centre, Science lab and library. Various renovations were carried out at the school library and science lab, capped off with science equipment.
Learners identified as underprivileged were gifted food parcels and were also encouraged to take up marine biology at the Career Day stall. Bicycles were given to the learners at Weenen Primary, which will come in handy when travelling to school each day.
Parents were overjoyed and turned up in numbers to attend the function. Both schools wish to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the deputy minister and her team, as well as the stakeholders, parents and community who attended on the day.
