A very successful variety show was staged last week by the Foundation Phase at Drakensview Primary. Close on 300 enthusiastic and talented young learners took to the stage to dance, sing and recite poetry.

Many hands make light work was very true for this show as each teacher trained her class and the show reflected a multitude of talent.
There were monsters, 90 ants, birds, fish under the sea, cultural dancers and even a poem about Mrs Paterson’s lost keys.
Several 100 parents, grandparents and friends squeezed into the school hall to watch the main performance of “The Wheels on the Bus”.

The little actors performed beautifully for their wildly responsive audience. So popular was the concert that an extra performance was staged to enable everyone the chance of seeing it. Well done to the educators and all the learners for the wonderful show.
