Dundee High School’s first girls netball team is not waiting in the wings.
The girls had an amazing season, winning all of their matches against all comers and displaying a fearless attitude throughout. Competition was tough and some scores were close, but the team showed exceptional spirit, virtue and sportsmanship.
Scores for this season are (DHS score first): versus Estcourt 58-7; vs Vryheid Landbou 29-12; vs Pongola 40-9; vs Ladysmith High 25-17; vs Amajuba 35-15; vs Vryheid High 25-20; vs Ferrum High 27-23; vs Newcastle High 25-23 and vs Sarel Cilliers 32-28.
The team wishes Mfundo Makhoba everything of the best for the future. The girls also thank coach, Ms Nxumalo, for her excellent guidance and ongoing support, and the outside umpires who helped with all the matches. DHS can’t wait for 2020 and another great season of netball.
