Ms Khan is concerned that the dumped rubble makes for an unhealthy environment to live in.

“The worst part is that people send children with wheelbarrows loaded to go and dump all sorts of waste there,” expressed Ms Khan with annoyance.

The illegal dumping is taking place on a vacant piece of land in Bougainvillea Avenue in Forderville. In June 2017 homeowners hoped the municipality would have the area cleared up.

“This vacant land is almost inviting people to come and get rid of their rubbish. It is such an embarrassment and an eyesore,” added Ms Khan.

These concerns will be forwarded to the local municipality for comment.
