VIDEO: Fire rips through unkempt area near Dundee Railway Station

The flames spread rapidly through the long, tinder dry grass

The residents predicted it and the Courier called it.

The long, unkempt grass near the  Dundee railway property on Robertson Lane went up in flames on Friday evening, endangering several homes.

Fortunately, residents acted swiftly to quell the flames along with the fire brigade.

The fire apparently started from near an overgrown property and spread rapidly. It was only weeks ago that the concerns of residents were published.
