uThukela District Municipality has begun pumping water at the Ladysmith Water Works.
An electrical fault at the water works left some Ladysmith residents without water for almost two days.
The affected areas are Danskraal, Egerton, Hyde Park, CBD, Limit Hill, Model Kloof, the golf course area, Observation Hill, Steadville, St Chad’s and Roosboom.
Water supply is expected to be restored by tomorrow morning (August 3), as the process to fill the reservoir takes a few hours.
