Staff members from across various government departments, as well as community members, got together to ensure that the activities were a success. The main activity on the day was filling potholes in Khetani (Ward 1).

This is where the mayor, MG Ndlangisa, spent his time – not just overseeing the pothole repairs, but actually helping to fill the holes!

Other activities included a mobile clinic, a blanket distribution, food parcel distributions, visits to senior citizens’ homes and child-headed households, a visit to the disability centre, blading of access roads, block manufacturing to build a house, painting and revamping of primary schools, and two house handovers in Dukuza (Ward 4).

As a municipality, we would like to express our sincere gratitude to the Bergville businesses, the Al-Imdaad Foundation, and in particular the community at large for donating towards this initiative.
