The learners at SAVF Ukuthula Crèche had a surprise in store for them on Thursday morning when the crèche was presented with three items of outdoor play equipment.

These were bought with money donated by the children and parents of Hertingfordbury Cowper Primary School in England.
The donations were made to support the volunteer activities being undertaken by Paul and Gill Gosbee, who are coming to the end of their three-year stay in Estcourt.
The equipment was made by a craftsman in Howick. The learners spent time exploring each piece of equipment and finding out how to balance successfully.
Some of the educators tried them out too, with varying degrees of success. It is envisaged that the children will have a lot of fun using the equipment, while in the process developing the important physical skills of balance and co-ordination.
Paul and Gill say they hope the equipment will be well-worn when they return.
