Landloop: Op Julie 26 het die Endumeni Landloopbyeenkoms by Dundee Juniorskool plaasgevind. DJS se atlete het goed gevaar en meeste van hulle het die top 10 in hul verskeie ouderdomsgroepe behaal. DJS is trots om aan te kondig dat Siyamthanda Mahlaba in die Endumeni Landloopspan opgeneem is.
Cricket: On July 30, the u-11 cricket team played against Utrecht. DJS batted first and scored 112 runs for the loss of 6 wickets. Dillon Guelpa was the top scoring batsman, making 53 runs. Utrecht managed to score 88 runs in 20 overs, losing 5 wickets.
On August 1, DJS’ first team travelled to Utrecht for a maiden 20 over league game. Utrecht won the toss and chose to bat 1st, but was bowled out for only 59 runs. The best bowler was Pieter Günther with 3 wickets. Ethan Jansen and Uzair Bhula claimed 2 wickets each. Njabulo Mkhwanazi (25) and Pieter Günther (23) chased down the target of 60 runs, as DJS won by 9 wickets.
Op Augustus 6 het die o-11 krieketspan teen Glencoe Primêr gespeel. DJS het die loting gewen en het verkies om 1ste veldwerk te doen. DJS het Glencoe uitgehaal vir 71 lopies. DJS het in slegs 11 boulbeurte hierdie telling verbygesteek, met ‘n verlies van slegs 2 paaltjies. DJS het dus met 8 paaltjies gewen.
Soccer: The u-13 soccer team is participating in the Glencoe Soccer League. The team won its 1st match against Glencoe Primary by 1 goal to 0, and drew 2 matches against Amakemfundo (0 – 0) and Biggarsberg B (0 – 0). Though the team played its heart out, DJS lost to Biggarsberg A 2 – 0.
Tennis: DJS het alreeds 2 wedstryde vanjaar gespeel. Alhoewel DJS hart en siel gespeel het, het hulle ongelukkig die wedstryd teen Huttenpark verloor, maar wel die wedstryd teen Lucas Meyer gewen. Baie geluk!
