The learners were accompanied by their class teacher, Ms Zuma, and their IsiZulu teacher, Ms Radebe. One of the Grade 4 learners made it to the fourth round among the top 10.

“I would like to encourage the learners to keep trying. A big thank you to the organisers and the Estcourt Circuit for this wonderful opportunity presented to us,” said Ms Radebe.

Ms Zuma added: “Ahead of Heritage Month, more of the same should be held for the learners to learn about the language and preserve the culture. Congratulations to the top three who will represent the Estcourt Circuit in Ladysmith. We wish them best of luck.”
