On Saturday, the Dundee High School first boys cricket team hosted Ferrum High School for a match.
After winning the toss and choosing to bat first, the local boys managed to reach a total of 213 runs for the loss of 6 wickets, with Jan-Frederik van Zyl scoring an almighty 136 runs off just 72 balls. In reply, Ferrum struggled with the pace attack and could only muster 190 runs before being bowled out.
Noticeable bowling performances were recorded by Micheal Erasmus, who took 2 wickets for 28 runs and Gert Aucamp, who took 2 wickets for 23 runs, but it was Jan-Frederik van Zyl who led the attack and once again stole the show. He took 4 wickets for 40 runs, handing DHS a 24-run victory.

The next league game is set to take place on Saturday against Newcastle High School, at the NHS grounds.
