‘Vagrants’ take over local pub
The legendary Johnny Cash once sang, "Please tell me where have all the hobos gone to..." and on Saturday night, the answer to that question would have been Ella Mera.
Local patrons of the popular pub dressed up, or rather dressed down, for the #EllaMeraHoboParty on August 31, donning their scruffiest threads for a night out. For those who chose to partake in the competition, there were great prizes up for grabs for the best-dressed and first place went to Donovan Venter.
Second and third place went to Elaine Krul and Morné Vermaak respectively, who joined in on the festivities at the last minute but were no less convincing with their vagrant fashion statements.
Pub owner, Michael Phytides thanked all patrons for joining them for a fun night out.
