
Local small business owners had a chance to better understand the Broad-Based Black Economic Empowerment (BBBEE) compliance system, at a workshop hosted by AbaQulusi Municipality at Cecil Emmett Hall last week.

Stakeholders from various entities, such as the South African Revenue Service (SARS), KwaZulu-Natal Treasury, the BBBEE Commission and many others shared the stage to help equip small business owners with the necessary knowledge.
This will help them ensure their compliance with relevant BBBEE rules and regulations.

Members of AbaQulusi’s Local Economic Development (LED) and Tourism Departments were said to have worked together to ensure the event was a success.
The municipality thanked those who attended the event and contributed in any way.
