Naidoo family running out of tolerance with leaking sewer

A sewer has been leaking into the family yard since 2017

A foul-smelling sewer leak has been plaguing the home of a Forderville family since 2017.

Despite several reports to uThukela District Municipality and the local municipality, the problem continues.

“I approached the councillor, uThukela and our municipality, but everyone just comes to have a look and leaves,” explained Anand Naidoo.

He added that his family cannot sit in their backyard due to the disgusting stench. The problem affects up to three families in neighbouring yards.

The Naidoo family are now desperate for help, as the constant odour is just outside their kitchen door, making it hard to stomach.

These concerns have been forwarded to uThukela District Municipality for a response.
