The road surface was dug up to repair a burst water pipe and according to the residents, was never covered up well.  This led to the road being eroded.

With the aim of restoring the state of the road, which is used daily, a group of residents armed themselves with spades and other tools to do some fixing.

Although it may not have been professionally done, the residents hope their efforts will bring some relief to road users.

The group consisted of Mfundo Mkhushukelo, Trevor Mchunu, Lindokuhle Mchunu, Theo Mchunu and others (who are not pictured).
