uThukela holds meeting to find solutions to water problems

Addressing the community, Cllr Dlungwane assured them that work is in progress to help ensure that people have running taps

uThukela District Municipality recently held a community meeting in Ward 29 (under Alfred Duma Municipality) to address community complaints regarding water issues.

At the meeting were uThukela chairperson for Water, Sanitation & Technical Services Cllr S Dlungwane, Ward Cllr S Sithole, manager in the Office of the Mayor LC Mthonti and a team of officials.

They aimed to provide solutions to the water problems currently being experienced.

Hlonyana community members and residents of surrounding areas are concerned about water shortages.
Addressing the community, Cllr Dlungwane assured them that work is in progress to help ensure that people have running taps.

He further said that water tankers will be sent out while the technicians are busy working on fixing infrastructure.
