Four arrested for drugs and suspected stolen goods
The operation yielded positive results as four suspects, aged 17 to 29 were arrested for possession of drugs and stolen goods.
An Intelligence Driven Operation was conducted from Friday to Sunday (January 10 to 12), by SAPS in Osizweni.
With the assistance of Osizweni Crime Prevention members and Osizweni detectives, information received saw the members proceed to a house at Manzana.
On arrival, one black laptop, suspected to be stolen, was recovered.
“At the same house police recovered six heroine or whoonga drugs in small brownish plastic bags.”
Police proceeded to a house in Blaauwbosch on Saturday at Nhleko Stand. On arrival, members recovered one white laptop, which was suspected to be stolen.
In the same area at Vilakazi Stand on the day, members further recovered eight full mandrax tablets, four halves of mandrax tablets, three quarters of mandrax tablets and eight small parcels of heroine or whoonga drugs.
At Msomi Stand on the same day, members recovered 50 full mandrax tablets.
On Sunday, members proceeded to a house in the Blaauwbosch area at Kubheka Stand, where 14 full mandrax tablets were recovered.
“The estimated total street value of the drugs recovered was plus or minus R12 000 thousand rand and the two laptops recovered were estimated at plus or minus R8 000.”
The operation yielded positive results as four suspects, aged 17 to 29 were arrested for possession of drugs and stolen goods.
The four suspects appeared at the Madadeni Magistrate’s Court on January 13.
