They confirmed the first phase of an active plan had already been executed to address these urgent matters.

Chairperson of Community Services Portfolio, Councillor M Hlatshwayo, together with the Executive Director of Community Services, S Zondo informed the Vryheid Herald that AbaQulusi Local Municipality is ‘aware of the issues’ regarding the landfill site and the cutting of grass in town and surrounding areas.
They confirmed the first phase of an active plan had already been executed to address these urgent matters. Cllr Hlatshwayo pleaded with residents to refrain from starting fires at the landfill site.
