Watch: Marchers want Ladysmith mayor to “fall”

Police and Public Safety are currently on scene

A march is set to take place any time now from Settlers Park to the Ladysmith Town Hall, calling for the immediate removal of Mayor Vincent Madlala. So far, there have been no reports of any violence.

The marchers plan to hand over a memorandum to the Speaker at Alfred Duma Local Municipality, voicing their displeasure with the mayor.

Police and Public Safety are currently at the scene as taxis converge on Settlers Park for the march.

No taxis or buses are currently operating in town.
