SAPS seizes drugs worth R150k in Pioneer Park
A total of 65 cocaine parcels, three blocks of 'rock' and two big parcels of methcathinone (Cat) powder were seized.
An Intelligent Driven Operation was conducted by the Newcastle K9 Unit on Moodie Street, Pioneer Park recently.
According to police reports, Sergeant Thusi, Constable Nkabinde and members of the Newcastle Crime Prevention Unit arrested of one suspect (45) for dealing in drugs. The arrest was made at around 11.45am on February 16.
A total of 65 cocaine parcels, three blocks of ‘rock’ (crack cocaine) and two big parcels of methcathinone (Cat) powder were seized. The narcotics have an estimated street value of R150 000.
Official investigations into the matter continue.
