Water shutdown for areas receiving their supply from Oliphantskop Dam

This is due to the installation of pipe-works on all 3 pump suctions

uThukela District Municipality has released a statement saying that all areas receiving water from Oliphantskop Dam will be affected by water shortages next week.
This is due to the installation of pipe-works on all three pump suctions and will lead to a total shutdown on:
– Monday, June 22, for 12 hours between 5am and 5pm; and
– Wednesday, June 24, for 12 hours between 5am and 5pm.
The installations will have a direct effect on the supply of water to the following areas: Waaihoek, Mabhekazi, Ekuvukeni, Uitvaal, KwaHlathi and Ezihlabathini (Ward 30 to 36).
Communities are therefore requested to store enough water in containers to overcome the situation.
