Following her marriage to Archie Augustine, with whom she spent the happiest years of her life, she obtained her BA and read law (LLB) at Unisa, thriving in her role as a criminal defence advocate. Kay dedicated her life not only to her family, friends and garden, but to the Estcourt community, serving as a pillar of strength and inspiration to all who were fortunate enough to have known her.

Members of the Estcourt community have relayed many stories that attest to Kay’s willingness to mediate disputes, offer family counselling and support during turbulent times.

Kay is best remembered as a vibrant, energetic and enthusiastic person whose generosity and consideration for others was a blessing for us all. Kay’s beloved husband, Archie, passed away in 2009. She is survived by her daughters, granddaughter and great granddaughter – she will remain a loving mother to us all.

The Augustine family thank our relatives and friends in South Africa and around the world for their well-wishes, love and prayers during our time of bereavement.

Kay was cremated in a private ceremony. As we cannot celebrate Kay’s life together as a result of the Covid-19 pandemic, please rather donate to those most in need.
Blessed be, Kay.
