Ladysmith DJ dedicates brand-new album to his grandma

The new album, called 'Bandlase', consists of 21 hit songs

Local DJ Sphamandla Dlamini (32), better known as Vico Da Sporo, recently released a new album called ‘Bandlase’.

The Ladysmith Gazette caught up with this deejay from the Thembalihle area in Steadville to ask him a few questions…

Vico revealed that this is his third album and he is dedicating it to his grandmother.

“Bandlase is my grandmother’s name, who is no more. Even though she is no longer with me, we are bound spiritually. My grandmother is the one person who was always there for me when nobody believed in my work. Thus, this is my way of saying thank you to her,” said the music maestro.
