Peggy Beetge, armed with generous donations from residents in Vryheid, has already sent a few loads of clothing, toys and household items to Mooipoort Herlewing Sentrum in Johannesburg for distribution to the less fortunate. These items are also distributed in informal settlements to people with one or no income. Thus far, the Mooipoort Herlewing Sentrum has handed over 746 food parcels to 746 families; and approximately 2541 individuals (including children) have received clothing, household items and toys. The organisation is currently in need of blankets and any warm clothing such as gloves, scarves, jerseys, jackets and shoes. They are also in desperate need of boys’ clothing for youngsters aged 10 to 14 years old. If you would like to donate any of these items, you can contact Peggy on 083-949-1926.
