A burst water pipe in Balsam Avenue has residents up in arms today (July 22).
The massive leak, which is in the driveway of a resident’s yard, is causing major problems in the street.
Numerous calls have been made to uThukela District Municipality, but nothing has been done about the situation.
There is so much water going to waste that the entire area has low water pressure or no water at all.

Two yards have already been flooded due to all the water that is pouring out of the burst pipe.
Balsam Avenue residents hope the district municipality will come and attend to the problem soon so they can avoid damage to their homes and so that precious water can be saved.
