Gusting wind and an early morning chill have made for an interesting Saturday morning.

The winds knocked down at least one tree. Shortly before 12pm a tree was ripped out of the ground by high winds in Tanjore Road.

The felled tree completely blocked the road but residents have been carting-off the tree piece by piece for fire wood.
