The central business district was earlier clouded by smoke as firefighters extinguished a blaze that broke out near Standard Bank.
Firefighters had to negotiate their way in the narrow passage between Standard Bank the neighbouring property.
Smoke and ash filled the air, obscuring vision in the area and causing a cloud of smoke and smog near the bank’s ATMs.
