Vryheid KZN – NEHAWU demands PPEs for nurses

Regional Chairperson of NEHAWU, Ntokozo Nxumalo said the hospital staff were working without proper PPEs and indicated that since June approximately 216 of the 600 officials have been infected with Covid-19 of which one has passed on.

Vryheid District Hospital’s staff represented by NEHAWU are picketing outside the hospital demanding proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as well as danger allowance and the promised salary increment agreed upon in 2018.
