Massive veld fire on the bypass and Harrismith Road
Visibility in the area was poor due to the dense smoke filling the air
A veld fire broke out this afternoon (August 29) on the bypass.
The fire raged on both sides of the road and then spread into Harrismith Road and even the army camp.

Public Safety officers and firefighters were seen trying to control the massive blaze and stop it from spreading.
