Residents in Forderville, Papkuilsfontein, Colita and Rensburgdrift, take heed – the district municipality has advised that these areas may experience water interruptions.
uThukela District Municipality communications department issued the following statement today (October 15):
“Inkosi Langalibalele Local Municipality has switched the power off at our Canna Avenue pump station because of the smoke coming from the transformer.
Our area engineer has contacted the appointed service provider to sort it out but we are not sure how long it will take.
We are currently waiting for the service provider to assess the damage and let us know whether we need a new transformer or the current one can be repaired.”
