Ladysmith KZN: Power outage in parts of town expected until late afternoon

Slow going as municipal workers dig for fault...

Municipal workers are busy on site today (October 29), digging to find part of the fault that has left parts of Hospital Park, the CBD and Van Riebeeck Park without electricity.

The overhead line running across the Klip River near Klipbank Bowling Club appears to have been hit by lightning during last night’s storm.

Repair work is expected to take all day, with early estimates on completion being 4pm.

The Ladysmith Gazette visited the site of the repairs and found three workers digging… Nobody else was at the scene.
