Motorists are urged to avoid the Glencoe/Elandslaagte road and rather use the Sunset Rest road to access the N11 to travel to Ladysmith.

This follows protest action which saw burning tyres and other obstacles blocking the road early this morning.

The route has been previously blocked by residents living in the area who have protested against what they say is a lack of service delivery in the area which follows under the uThukela District Municipality.
