VRYHEID KZN: Hijacked car found by fast-acting police

The motor vehicle was hijacked by two suspects after the driver gave them a lift from Paulpietersburg town towards Natal Spa

A joint operation conducted by the Paulpietersburg Vispol Unit and Zululand District Task Team resulted in the recovery of a car stolen during a hijacking.

The motor vehicle was hijacked by two suspects after the driver gave them a lift from Paulpietersburg town towards Natal Spa.  On the way there, another suspect stopped the vehicle and pointed a firearm at the driver.  The car was then driven into the bush, where the driver was tied up using his shoe laces.  A firearm and money was taken from the driver.

The hijacking was reported at Paulpietersburg SAPS. Vispol and task team officers acted on the report and the motor vehicle was found abandoned along the Paulpietersburg/Natal Spa route.  No suspects have been arrested at this stage.
