The school year has officially started and many learners are back in the classrooms. For some of these learners, it will have been their first day of what will be the next 12 years of their schooling career. Excitement abounded as the little ones entered the school gates with big smiles hidden under their masks. Gone are the days when a Grade 1 learner was teary-eyed while the teacher led his / her parents away.
