DUNDEE KZN: Job seekers warned of yet another scam

Job seekers could be out of pocket

Job seekers have been warned that a Facebook post advertising jobs at Buffalo Coal is a scam. The post dated April which is badly written reads, purportedly on the mine’s Facebook page, thus: Buffalo coal mine:

Position Available
General Workers
Boiler Makers
Code 10/14 drivers with PDP
Operators
Safety officer
And contact Mr Twala at 0649331445.
Kevern Mattison, general manager of Buffalo Coal, warned that the company does not have a Facebook page and that there are currently no jobs available at the mine.
“People must disregard this. We will not advertise posts on Facebook,” Mr Mattison.
The usual scam is for applicants to be asked for an ‘admin fee’ to be deposited into a bank account and after that nothing is ever heard from them again, leaving the job seeker out of pocket.
