VRYHEID KZN: ‘Knights of the Round Table’ donate to the needy

The ‘Winter Knights’ project is an annual event on Vryheid Round Table’s calendar. This year is no different and the ‘knights’ of the Round Table went out to Spar, Checkers and PnP to collect warm clothing, blankets and non-perishable food items which in turn will be donated to non-profit organisations. It will then be distributed to those in need. Thus far, they’ve managed to collect approximately R6000 worth of clothing, blankets and non-perishable food items. On Saturday, players from Vryheid Rugby Club flexed even more muscles off the field when they selflessly donated to the Round Table’s project by collecting close to R2000 worth of items. The community can still donate warm clothing, blankets, non-perishable food items or money either by contacting Rudi Venter on 074 124 8991 or by dropping the items off on Thursday (July 1) at 17:30 in front of PnP.

Don’t forget – the Round Table will be hosting a Golf Day on August 14. All funds raised on the day will go towards the Vryheid 129 Trust Fund for charitable use. For more information on the Golf Day, contact Chris van Heusden on 079 495 4125.
