NEWCASTLE KZN: Emadlangeni Municipality resumes full operations

Learners and drivers licence applicants, who had tests scheduled last week, will be contact telephonically.

Utrecht’s municipality has reinstated normal working hours as of today (July 19), from 7.30 to 16:15.

In a statement from the office of Municipal Manager, Stanley de Klerk, Emadlangeni Municipality has advised that learners and drivers licence applicants, who had tests scheduled last week, will be contact telephonically about their new test dates.

The municipality has further saluted both community members and law enforcement for ‘tireless dedication to protecting our town during the period of unrest and widespread protests in the country’.

Emadlangeni Municipality ended with a quote by the late statesman, Nelson Mandela: “‘I am fundamentally an optimist. Part of being optimistic is keeping one’s head pointed toward the sun, one’s feet moving forward. There were many dark moments when my faith in humanity was sorely tested, but I would not and could not give myself up to despair. That way lays defeat and death’.”
